Our Launch. Our Customers. Our Community.

When we opened pre orders for Being Well Cold, we hoped people would connect with what we were trying to build. What happened instead was something far more powerful. We did not just launch a product. We met a community.
From the moment the first orders came through, we made a decision. We wanted to get out across the Lothians and hand deliver as many tubs as we could. Not for the content or the optics, but because we wanted to meet the people who chose to support Scotland’s first dedicated cold tub company. We wanted to look people in the eye and say thank you.
Those deliveries ended up becoming the best part of our entire launch weekend.
Meeting the people behind the cold
One of our first deliveries was to a lovely woman who had shared some of the health challenges she lives with. She told explained why cold exposure matters so much to her and how difficult it can be to get out for a dip when the lighting changes at night. She was warm, open and full of encouragement for us. That moment set the tone for the rest of the day.
The more doors we knocked on, the more we realised something important. People who practise cold exposure or want to start are some of the most grounded, supportive, and resilient people you could ever hope to meet. Everyone had a story. Everyone had a reason for turning to the cold. Everyone had a genuine desire to feel better and to support others doing the same.
It reminded us why we started this in the first place. Not for volume and not for vanity. For connection. For community. For people.
The car vlog, the towel and Steve
If you saw our very first car vlog on social media, you will know it was chaotic and unscripted. Just us chatting in the car, laughing, handing over tubs, showing the emails that flew back and forward in the background of pre launch start up life.
That vlog also tells the unexpected story of our branded towel. When our pre-sale opened, our Business Gateway advisor, Steve, was the first one to buy a tub. Three minutes after launch. He had seen our business plan, knew exactly what we were building, and backed us instantly.
But long before this, upon reviewing our business plan for the first time, he said something that made us stop in our tracks! He told us the starter pack was missing a towel! That one comment turned into a flurry of calls, emails and messages with our supplier. And because Steve asked, every single customer now gets a branded towel in their starter pack.
A towel by popular demand. A towel by Steve.
We are not a faceless dropshipping brand
Hand delivering tubs, talking to people on their doorsteps and sharing authentic conversations confirmed something we care about deeply. We are not here to be a faceless dropshipping brand. We are not here to chase trends or churn out products with no meaning behind them.
We are here to see people, to hear them, and to listen.
We are here to support people who want to learn about cold exposure. We are here to answer questions, to guide beginners, to share safe practices, and to help people get the most out of the cold. We are here for the conversations. The science. The community. The mission.
Being Well Cold means cold that means something. Cold that builds resilience. Cold that brings people together.
Thank you for an unforgettable start
To everyone who supported our pre sale
To everyone who opened their door to us
To everyone who shared their story, their reason, their hope
To everyone who believed in what we are building
Thank you.
Our launch was successful because of you. The cold might be what brought us together, but community is what will carry this forward.
We cannot wait to see where this takes us next.

I absolutely love the tub and it makes me so happy that I heard about you guys and that I was able to buy from you. It’s wonderful what you’re doing and this is a great blog post.
